GRANT AID SCHEME

 

Falkirk  Sports Council operates a grant aid scheme for individuals and clubs, who are residents within the  fALKIRK COUNCIL aREA.

The Falkirk Sports Council reserves the right to refuse a grant application without giving a reason..

Grants are awarded twice yearly, one in April and the second in October

GRANTS CAN ONLY BE AWARDED TO CLUBS AND INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE AFFILIATED TO FALKIRK SPORTS COUNCIL

 

INDIVIDUAL GRANTS WITHIN THE U.K.

 

All grants applications must have the applicants name, address and signature.  If an Applicant  is a member of a National Governing Body, the responsible person from the NGB must also sign and stamp the application form.. An applicant must provide proof of expenditure having taken place.

All awards of this type are retrospective.

 

INDIVIDUAL GRANTS OUTWITH THE U.K.      

 

Thanks to the support of Falkirk  Council  grants will be awarded each year, in addition to the other categories, for training and competitions abroad. These grants will be awarded prior to the applicant going abroad, but the appropriate application form must be completed in full before an award can be made. It is advisable to give as much notice as possible regarding this type of application.

 

COACHING GRANT

 

Affiliated members are entitled to apply for grant aid For attending courses organized by an accredited organization or governing body. Falkirk  Sports Council will refund half of the course expenditure, up to a maximum of £50.00. in a six monthly period.

This will be paid to applicants on receipt of either a certificate / evidence that they attended the course.

 

CLUB DEVELOPMENT / EQUIPMENT GRANT

 

This grant is designed to assist clubs with projects which will aid the development of their club and Sport.

Falkirk  Sports Council will not consider any Grant Aid applications in respect of the replacement  of personal equipment, club fees and rents, or day to day running costs such as, e.g. football strips.

All Grant Aid applications are retrospective and all clubs must be resident within the Falkirk Area

Any proof of expenditure must be submitted with the Grant Aid application form.  Each application will be considered on merit and dependant on the number of claimants in any one six monthly period, the Sports Council will allocate funds within their own financial constraints, up to a maximum of £200 in any one case.

In exceptional circumstances, Falkirk Sports Council will grant aid assistance with the start up costs of new clubs and sports.
